Intermediate Front End Developer Full Time On-site NEW

Job Summary

An established organisation is looking for a Front-End Developer to join a newly formed product team developing a software platform designed to support vulnerable whānau, their support networks, and community-based care services.

This opportunity is suitable for an intermediate front-end developer or an experienced junior developer ready to progress into an intermediate position. Some back-end development capability would also be beneficial.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Software Engineer and Product Owner to help build a new product from the ground up and contribute to its continued development as the platform grows.

The Right Candidate

The organisation is looking for someone who:

  • Is interested in developing full-stack solutions that could be used across Aotearoa and internationally.
  • Works well within a collaborative team and is comfortable contributing ideas while learning from others.
  • Understands the importance of user experience and considers end users when making development decisions.
  • Is comfortable regularly working from the Mt Albert office. Flexible working arrangements are available, although in-person participation with the team remains important.

Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in front-end development.
  • Write clean, maintainable, high-quality and high-performance code.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Senior Software Engineer on product design and development.
  • Develop and support web applications, native mobile applications, Web APIs, database integrations, interfaces and new product functionality.
  • Work with and maintain applications using a cross-platform codebase, including technologies such as Flutter.
  • Support the testing and deployment of new products, functionality and features.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience developing high-quality web applications.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Blazor, C#, .NET or other relevant programming technologies.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of deploying and maintaining secure, high-performing cloud applications, preferably with some Microsoft Azure experience.
