The position is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that delivers training data for major AI companies and foundation-model labs.

The Chemical Engineer AI Training role is designed for experienced chemical engineering specialists with strong technical precision, applied problem-solving abilities, and real-world process reasoning.

You will evaluate, challenge, and refine advanced language models across domain-specific chemical engineering topics.

The work involves reviewing calculations, engineering assumptions, process scenarios, model explanations, and step-by-step solutions while helping ensure AI-generated content reflects sound engineering principles, appropriate safety considerations, and responsible technical communication.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate AI-Generated Engineering Content

Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, logical soundness, completeness, and clarity
• Identifying factual errors and flawed engineering assumptions
• Identifying missing constraints
• Flagging unsafe recommendations
• Identifying unit and consistency errors
• Identifying incomplete engineering reasoning
• Providing structured expert feedback to improve AI model performance

Challenge and Refine AI Models

The Chemical Engineer AI role involves testing advanced language models using realistic chemical engineering problems.

Your Profile

Candidates for this Chemical Engineer – AI Training role should have:

• At least 4 years of professional chemical engineering experience
• Meaningful hands-on experience within one or more chemical engineering specialties
• Deep knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals
• Strong ability to work with engineering calculations, assumptions, and constraints
• Ability to apply defensible engineering reasoning, including consideration of uncertainty, safety factors, and limitations
• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field

Relevant professional experience may include:
