The Biomedical Engineer – AI Training role is an opportunity for experienced biomedical engineering professionals to help evaluate and improve how advanced AI systems understand and communicate complex biomedical engineering concepts.

This Biomedical Engineer AI role focuses on reviewing AI-generated technical content for accuracy, logical reasoning, completeness, safety, and clarity across health and life-science applications.

The position is with SME Careers, an AI Data Services company and subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that provides training data for AI companies and foundation-model labs.

About the Role

The Biomedical Engineer – AI Training role is designed for specialists with strong technical precision, applied problem-solving abilities, and rigorous engineering reasoning within biomedical and life-science environments.

You will evaluate, challenge, and refine advanced language models using domain-specific biomedical engineering knowledge.

The work includes reviewing model responses, developing realistic engineering scenarios, identifying technical or safety issues, and helping establish appropriate standards for how AI systems communicate biomedical engineering information.

Responsibilities include:

Your Profile

Candidates for this Biomedical Engineer AI role should have:

• At least 4 years of professional biomedical engineering experience
• Significant hands-on experience in one or more relevant biomedical engineering areas
• Deep knowledge of biomedical engineering fundamentals
• Strong ability to work with technical assumptions and constraints
• Strong understanding of unit consistency and defensible engineering reasoning
• Ability to account for limitations, uncertainty, and safety considerations
• A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field
