Ubuntu/Linux User for AI Data Training Contract Remote NEW

Job Summary

SME Careers is looking for regular Ubuntu/Linux users to support AI data training through structured, detail-focused tasks. This is a fully remote, hourly paid contractor role. The trainer will install applications on a personal Ubuntu/Linux computer, record actions while completing assigned work, and follow written guidance carefully. Prior AI experience is not required.

The opportunity is suited to students, junior candidates, Linux enthusiasts, and other technically confident people who can work independently with patience, focus, and close attention to detail. SME Careers is a fast-growing AI data services company and a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate that supplies training data to many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model laboratories. The completed work will contribute to AI systems used across products and industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow detailed written guidelines and apply them accurately.
• Install and use required applications on an Ubuntu/Linux computer.
• Review completed work for mistakes before submission.
• Recognise inconsistencies, unclear instructions, and technical problems as they occur.
• Maintain concentration during repetitive or detail-heavy assignments.
• Finish assigned tasks within the agreed weekly availability.
• Communicate clearly with the project team when support is required.
• Help improve the quality of AI model training data.

Your Profile

• Access to a personal computer running Ubuntu/Linux.
• Comfort installing required applications, tools, and project software and following setup guidance independently.
• Approximately 15 hours of availability each week.
• Patience, concentration, reliability, responsiveness, and careful attention to detail.
• The ability to follow written instructions consistently and meet task deadlines.
• Comfort with structured and sometimes repetitive work.
• Basic computer literacy and confidence with browser-based tools.
• Students and junior applicants are welcome.
• AI data training, data annotation, quality assurance, software testing, or research-task experience is useful but not required.
