Job Summary

SME Careers is hiring a Go Engineer for hourly paid, fully remote contract work supporting AI data training. The engineer will review AI-generated Go code and explanations and/or create original technical material, examine step-by-step problem-solving, and supply expert feedback. The work involves assessing correctness, readability, and backend best practices; finding concurrency, error-handling, and conceptual problems; verifying facts; writing clear model solutions in idiomatic Go; and comparing multiple AI answers for correctness and reasoning quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed prompts and responses across varied topics to support broad AI learning.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to improve accuracy, fluency, and contextual relevance.
• Test AI systems for possible inaccuracies or bias and assess their reliability across use cases.

Your Profile

• 1–2+ years of professional Go programming experience, ideally involving backend services, APIs, or systems work.
• Strong understanding of Go idioms, including explicit error handling, composition over inheritance, and simple, readable interfaces.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining backend-style Go applications in production.
• The ability to assess backend Go code for correctness and readability, including concurrency patterns, error propagation, and API design.
• Significant experience using LLMs or AI coding assistants while programming, together with disciplined validation of their output.
• Excellent English writing skills for precise, structured, teaching-oriented technical explanations, with minimum C1 proficiency.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field.
• An extremely detail-oriented working style; previous AI data training, large-scale code review, or evaluation of AI-generated technical content is strongly preferred.
• Real-project experience with Go frameworks or libraries such as Gin, gRPC, or Echo is highly preferred.
• Merged contributions to Go open-source projects, competitive programming, cloud-native development, and familiarity with Go performance-profiling tools are preferred.
