The Client Services Director job provides senior leadership across client relationships, integrated marketing delivery, and team performance for Hong Kong, China, and international client accounts.

This Client Services Director role takes ownership of active and won client opportunities, ensuring clients receive strong strategic guidance, clear communication, and high-quality campaign delivery across media, digital, social, influencer marketing, and integrated marketing.

The position serves as the senior bridge between clients, internal teams, freelancers, suppliers, media partners, KOLs, influencers, and company leadership.

About the Role

The Client Services Director is responsible for overseeing client relationships and ensuring marketing projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to a high standard.

The role combines client leadership, integrated marketing strategy, campaign oversight, team management, project delivery, and commercial management. The successful candidate will work across multiple markets and stakeholders while helping improve client satisfaction, operational efficiency, campaign quality, and account growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership

The Client Services Director role leads senior client relationships across Hong Kong, China, and cross-border accounts.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning senior client relationships across Hong Kong, China, and international accounts
• Building client trust through strong communication, responsiveness, and strategic thinking
• Leading client meetings, presentations, campaign reviews, and performance discussions
• Translating client objectives into clear marketing recommendations and delivery plans
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for account growth
• Supporting client retention and long-term relationship development

Integrated Marketing Strategy

The Integrated Marketing Client Services Director provides senior strategic input across multiple marketing channels.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing senior input across marketing strategy, media planning, digital, social, content, and influencer campaigns
• Challenging and strengthening campaign recommendations before they are presented to clients
• Ensuring campaign plans align with client objectives, audience requirements, budgets, and commercial realities
• Supporting the development of integrated proposals and client recommendations
• Providing strategic judgement on campaign structure, channel mix, messaging, and resource requirements

Media, Digital and Influencer Campaign Leadership

The Client Services Director role oversees integrated campaign delivery across paid media, digital, social, influencer marketing, and content-led programmes.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing paid media, digital campaigns, social media, influencer marketing, and content programmes
• Reviewing media plans, influencer recommendations, campaign timelines, and client-facing materials
• Ensuring campaign budgets are used effectively and proportionately
• Coordinating internal teams, freelancers, media partners, KOLs, influencers, and suppliers
• Monitoring campaign performance and translating learnings into actionable recommendations
• Supporting the use of company technology and data to improve influencer discovery, campaign planning, and client value where relevant

Delivery Excellence

The Client Services Director provides oversight throughout the project delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing projects from planning through execution
• Ensuring timelines, responsibilities, blockers, and deliverables are clearly managed
• Identifying delivery issues early and driving their resolution
• Maintaining high standards of quality control across client-facing work
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within the agreed scope

Team Leadership

The role includes responsibility for developing team capabilities and improving operational performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing, coaching, and developing junior team members
• Reviewing work before it reaches clients
• Setting standards for communication, project management, strategic thinking, and accountability
• Improving utilisation of team members, freelancers, suppliers, and specialist partners
• Identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to improve efficiency
• Recommending process improvements that increase delivery speed, quality, and profitability
• Ensuring the level of effort invested in projects is proportionate to client fees and commercial opportunities

Commercial Management

The Client Services Director role is responsible for supporting profitable and commercially sustainable client delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Protecting project profitability and delivery efficiency
• Identifying scope creep, over-servicing, and margin risks early
• Working with leadership on resource allocation and project feasibility
• Supporting proposal development with delivery, resource, and campaign feasibility input
• Escalating commercial and delivery risks early with clear recommendations
• Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across media, digital, influencer marketing, content, and strategic support

Requirements

Candidates applying for this Client Services Director role should have:

• 8 to 12+ years of agency experience in client services, account leadership, integrated marketing, media, digital, or campaign delivery
• Strong proven experience managing Hong Kong, China, and international clients
• Strong understanding of media planning and buying, digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, and integrated campaign delivery
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Experience managing and developing junior team members
• Strong commercial awareness and judgement regarding scope, resources, profitability, and client value
• Ability to work across multiple projects, markets, and stakeholders
• Confidence using AI tools and technology to improve workflows
• A highly accountable, proactive, structured, and solutions-oriented approach

Language requirements:

• Fluent Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
