Accountant Full Time on-site

Role Overview

Ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting, preparing consolidated accounts, managing intercompany transactions, supporting audits, and taxation. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across different business units.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for all group entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely consolidation of group accounts.
• Reconcile general ledger, bank accounts, and intercompany balances.
• Manage fixed assets registers and depreciation schedules.

Intercompany Transactions

• Record and reconcile all intercompany transactions across the group.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with transfer pricing policies.
• Coordinate with different subsidiaries to resolve discrepancies.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances and provide financial insights for management decision-making.

Taxation & Compliance

• Preparing and filing tax returns (corporate, sales, payroll, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards
• Support internal and external audit processes.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of dues.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.

Other Duties:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Liaise with the Group Management Accountant to improve financial procedures.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 years of work experience
• Willing to work onsite in Dili, Timor-Leste
