How to apply for a job at Old Navy? It’s real simple. You need to apply through Gap, the umbrella company which Old Navy is a part of. Gap has a summer internship program for both students taking their graduate and undergraduate courses. However, I will be focusing on the latter for this article.
During the internship program, you will be exposed to all areas of the business. This means that you will be shifting from job to job, so you can get a taste of how it works in many levels of the company ladder. Likewise, you will be required to attend weekly meetings with actual executives and high level managers of the company, so you’ll get a feel of how it is to work in the real world.
Students of courses on or related to information systems, finance, human resources, store operations, and merchandising, among others, are encouraged to take this internship program. However there are a few requirements that must be met in order to qualify for the internship. For one, you need to have a GPA (Grade Point Average) of at least 3 (or a letter grade of B). You must also be an incoming fourth year student, or approaching your final year in your course.
Furthermore, excellent oral and written English communication skills, the knowledge of how to use basic computer applications, and the ability to work well independently, are all important.
